The Badsworth Landaulette
The Badsworth Landaulette is ideal for weddings in all seasons. With the hood in place it performs as a warm saloon but in a couple of seconds the hood can be lowered should you wish to enjoy the luxury of 'open top' motoring in comfort.
We like to make a feature of the car at Civil Ceremonies which includes a short trip for Bride and Groom following the ceremony - relax together for a few moments!
The Badsworth Landaulette was built by hand with Weddings in mind by John Binns (owner of Married in Style). Perfectly finished with every little detail to compliment the occasion, from hand stitched interior, custom matching carpets, traditional spoke wheels and a Klaxon horn that lets everyone know the Bride and Groom are arriving in style.
You get all the romantic traditions of a Vintage Wedding Car but with the modern amenities we all love & expect - like a good heater for those colder days! However, when the Sun is shining on the happy newlyweds the rear section of the hood is easily lowered to allow an unobstructed view to your family, friends and guests.
Having visited most of the local reception venues over the years we have spotted the best way to position the cars for photos. Coombe Abbey is a very photogenic environment and offers a number of locations for wonderful photo opportunities.
We tend to be driving from the Leicester direction for weddings at this venue. The route is usually planned to travel along lovely country lanes and makes for a very scenic environment for the newly married couple to enjoy.
Most photos tend to feature Bride and Groom. We like this pic of the Bride being helped out of the car by her Father. As can be seen the hood was lowered by the occupants for the last few yards to the Church. The Bride and Groom were able to travel through the village with the hood down prior to it being raised for the journey to Catthorpe Manor.
We love this image. The dress was very different from the "norm" and despite the size fitted easily into the spacious rear seating area of the Badsworth. Brownsover Hall is a much liked venue of ours - very close to Rugby but completely divorced from any sign of the busy town.
